The following quote was my mindset before I realized that success was just around the corner for me:

"Business failure! Not Again! Not cold feet - again! No false starts, no rabbit trails, just get me on the right path! I will not even start another blog or business unless I could go at my pace and be successful. I decided that "failure is not a pleasant option for me."

I Pursued Business Opportunities

It is not my choice to be working and starting my own business at the same time. Well, that may not be absolutely accurate. There have been many opportunities for business startups in my life.

I remember the time that we almost bought a pet store, it would have been perfect for our young family. But I passed that up because I did not think I could do it.

We wanted to purchase a janitor franchise, all set up and ready to take over. But I did not want to move my family out of state.

Then I passed up a one in a million chance of working with someone I admired in a little Mom & Pop fast food restaurant. They really wanted me to work with them, I regretted not accepting that experience. So that opportunity passed by.

We were contacted to purchase this cute restaurant when we were on vacation in a small out of the way town up north. The owners insisted that we take the restaurant over, and they would train us. But that scared us, so we did not take them up on that offer.

There was a small independent fast-food burger place we wanted to buy. He was selling but this time he turned us down saying it would be too much stress on the family to take it over. I almost cried that time.

I started to work some private real estate flips and rehabs. We were almost successful on that one, but we could not get our team to work together, and it fell apart.

Repeated Failures Lead to Success

After pursuing other business opportunities, I almost gave up on becoming an entrepreneur or business owner. But I am not one to ever give up.

An unsuccessful online dropship business was one of my projects and worked it for about 9 years, but that failed because it was set up wrong and I lost interest. The merchant account was set up wrong and a customer brought it to my attention, complaining that he could not buy one of my products.

In the meantime, I worked as a loyal employee as hard and as much as I could. But I felt trapped because the money I made was all going to help my family survive hardships, instead of getting ahead. I felt drowned and trapped which was not a pleasant feeling.

The Answer That Motivated Me to Start My Blogging Career

Solutions

I found the perfect solution to starting a blog for me. I started with a 5-Day crash course to Start a Blogging Business. This course got me closer to my goals and gave me a totally new and energizing mindset to keep going. I am the type of person who wants to get a head and succeed in everything, I will try harder than most people and sometimes I will fail just as hard. I am not in the place I want to be yet, but I can see that goal in the close future. To have the right mindset becomes the biggest challenge, maybe it is your challenge, too. There is much energy and planning that goes into starting a blog. My passion and desire are to write, but I had not made up my mind on what I could successfully blog about. When I found out that to be successful is a process, that motivated me and propelled me to start writing. It is like taking baby steps, somewhat halting steps, until we are able to walk, then we can think of running.

The Promise This Course Restored to Me

It’s a Lovely Life made me feel that I could blog. I found a company* that said they would be with me every step; I took that literally, but I still needed convincing. I am amazed at the help I receive consistently. They are professional and do not leave a blogger hanging after signing up – like OK – you are on your own! (I would have given up). Learn to have a plan and be willing to adjust your goals until they are successful.

This Powerful Free 5-Day Course Changed My Mindset.

In my frame of mind, I had decided that building a business was just not my time, but I would start a blog and write my experiences down. That sounded low key and fun to me.

I still had grandiose ideas of starting my own AFH business (Adult Family Home). My AFH was almost set up, but I was not able to take back the caregiver roll for my mom, and I needed her to make it successful.

I have bought into a few multi-level businesses, and I am still in a couple, but I am in it for the products. I hate the idea of selling anything to someone who may not want or need a product.
