Talking over a cup of tea

HEALTH INSPIRATIONS

When does unhealthy become healthy; that was a question brought up by my son as we were discussing topics for my blog. There are patients that I take care of every day that know nothing about health. Generally, we have no clue as to how to become healthy, what the options are, and most importantly are the healthy solutions we follow – really going to keep us healthy?

There is a tremendous amount of health issues out there and as many solutions to them. But are all of them effective to produce a better way of life? Let’s explore the best way that leads to What is Healthy Living?

NATURAL HEALING

I have used natural ways of healing with herbs for more than 40 years. It was so gradual; I forget the time. Even as a child, I learned that health was important and that it was linked to nutrition, to emotions, to food preparation. I learned that there were different therapies that work together for building health.

How I chose to journal my own way of getting healthy and it is still a process. In a time of crisis that lasted more than 10 years, I realized that having success in life means I need to go back to what practices I knew worked and live them whole heartedly.

THE TRUTH ABOUT ASPERGERS & AUTISM

When my oldest son was 3 years old, I knew he had autism. But the process of living and learning was a big learning curve for me. My daughter has a son with Asperger’s and the awesome wonder of his life has made this blog worth the effort.

I explore humorous and sometimes tragic stories of ultimate success with my son and daughter and my daughter’s son. It is amazing that my son’s story reached through the generations to be the best help for his nephew.

LISTENING TO LIFE WITH DEMENTIA AND MENTAL HEALTH ISSUES

My mom clearly was struck by the debilitating issues of dementia. Read her story, and other stories of mental health issues. My greatest regret is that I was not able to spend her last days with her, I felt my greatest need for her at that time, and she could not communicate. One day she did communicate with me – and that is a memory I will always cherish.

What really is dementia, is it an element of mental health? How do we celebrate the lives of people with degenerate diseases? I still have many questions surrounding this mystery of life. My mom clearly was struck by the debilitating issues of dementia.

MY GARDENING HAVEN

My mom taught me a love for gardening as well as nutrition and health. My children developed a love for the garden. I remember my grandparents on both sides had a heart for different styles of gardening. I feel I received the best of all worlds.

Once I realized how food is tied into nutrition, that is the day that I decided to take control and encourage others to eat to avoid many diseases. I spent most of my life in gardens gave my children a healthy start in life. All in the name of gardens!

FIRST AID TIPS

OH BOY! What a discussion and fun learning discussion on this topic! I want to try to integrate health issues into a way of life that will answer first aid remedies as well as long term healthy choices.

Figuring out what is the cause of an illness, a sickness, an injury, will go a long way toward finding the solution. You know what? That also goes for emotional issues, mental health issues, and spiritual issues. This not just a topic for physical health emergencies.
